I stood amidst a fog--dense with the odor of what we here on planet Earth would consider to be a mixture of NYC streets and mayonnaise--paralyzed by the encounter that had occurred merely seconds ago. A common misconception, they were not green and they did not have only two eyes (most had at least fourteen). They spoke a language foreign to any earthling tongue, yet I understood their commands effortlessly. It was clear to me what I had to do . . . SORRY!
